Beezr World Cafe in Liverpool

At the EAIE 2016 conference in Liverpool the Beezr team held a session where visitors of our World Café were invited to discuss virtual student teamwork and internationalisation@home in higher education from various angles: student, lecturer and faculty management perspective.

The one-hour session consisted of short intensive table talks on improving online collaboration between students and gaining acceptance of this form of internationalisation@home among lecturers and faculty management.

Imagine: Beezr at EAIE 2016 in Liverpool

Beezr will be present at the EAIE 2016 conference. The EAIE is the European Association for International Education.

This year the conference will be held in Liverpool from 13 to 16 September. The theme of the conference is ‘ Imagine’ inspired by John Lennon, which is a theme that fits the Beezr project perfectly.

Imagine a world where students work together on exciting projects across borders, cultures and time zones.

Erasmus+ Staff Week at Kozminski University

In the second week of May Kozminski University hosted 37 visitors (lecturers and administration staff) from different countries around the world, inter alia, Japan, Georgia, Russia, Canada and the People’s Republic of China. They came to Kozminski University to participate in the Erasmus + Staff Week. This event coincided with the project partner meeting, hence during breaks and lunches the great beezr team had an opportunity to talk to potential new partners.

How can you get students to work together better in international teams? How can you set up educational projects with overseas colleagues with assignments from the international professional field? 

These were questions which lecturers discussed in Varazdin, Croatia . A total of 38 colleagues from the Beezr partner universities in Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Netherlands and Poland.

Successful Teacher training for virtual mobility

Announcement of the event - week-long training for teachers for virtual mobility

In period 15th-19th Feb 2016 in Varazdin (HR) will be the held a training for teachers who engage students during the semester at the MAB-Beezr projects. The goal of the projects is that students solve real-life cases from business practice and in multinational teams using the opportunities provided by ICT. Virtual mobility enables their collaboration with no need to travel, because travel can either be too expensive, or too time consuming.

Students' visit to small business Agroposta

Twelve students from Faculty of organization and informatics (FOI) on March 12th 2015 visited Croatian small business Agroposta. The students were engaged into Market Basket - Virtual Student Collaboration Model project by teaching assistants Irena Kedmenec and Kristina Detelj, with the help from Izabela Oletić and Danka Patafta from FOI's International Relations Office. This way the Croatian students have an opportunity to collaborate virtually with students from Netherlands, Denmark and Poland and to solve business problems from practice.

Aarhus Teacher Training

As a part of the Market Basket (MAB) Virtual Collaboration Model (Erasmus + funded project) the project consortium organized the first Teacher training in the premises of the Business Academy Aarhus (BAA) in Denmark, from 26 to 30 January 2015. The teachers have learnt about the project; how to run project with students from different countries, who collaborate only virtually and teachers are now invited to involve their students with students from other countries to mutually solve different problems and cases from real life business.
