Aarhus Teacher Training

As a part of the Market Basket (MAB) Virtual Collaboration Model (Erasmus + funded project) the project consortium organized the first Teacher training in the premises of the Business Academy Aarhus (BAA) in Denmark, from 26 to 30 January 2015. The teachers have learnt about the project; how to run project with students from different countries, who collaborate only virtually and teachers are now invited to involve their students with students from other countries to mutually solve different problems and cases from real life business. The education included 28 participants and 17 of them were actively involved during the whole training.

During the education the first version of the Online platform was presented, which is available through the domain www.beezr.eu and teachers are informed about the current capabilities of the platform. The platform consists of two parts - an open one available to all Internet users, and the closed one based on Moodle. The participants have to register on the platform in order to access the closed part of the platform, where the materials for Teachers and Students are available. In the open part of the platform the emphasis is on the dissemination of information in order to later attract more institutions of higher education (teachers and students) and companies. The idea is to get students more involved in solving problems in the real business practice in the international environment, without the need to actually travel. Companies then could receive different types of solutions to their problems developed by the students, and the students get practical experience in problem solving and cooperation in international teams.

The overall conclusion is that the training was very productive and useful; the partners are of good quality and are interested in cooperation. This is an opportunity for the students to experience participating in international, multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams with colleagues across Europe and thus acquire additional knowledge and skills needed in the labor market without having to leave their country.
